What was your most memorable moment?
Patagonia is such an incredibly wild and free place. For me the landscapes and animal life was the best part. All of our guides and tours were amazing too.

Tell us about the Trekking
Our guide Facu in El Chalten was really good. We had a small group, a perfect size on the first day as we hiked to base of Fitz Roy. Facu kept us to a good pace to make sure we finished in a timely manner. On the second day my friend went with the group to Los Lagos but I opted for an easier hike to a waterfall. The office helped me with the route and that was an enjoyable hike. It was nice to have options. We did a Lakes trail in Torres del Paine and it was beautiful, not crowded and fun. We did some short rails there as well and they were fun as well.
Tell us about the Horseriding
We aren't experienced horseback riders but wanted to try it. We opted for the 3 hour ride to Lake Nord and that was the perfect amount of time. The two guides selected just the right horses for us and the rest of the group and went over the basic riding instructions. (which were the horse knows what to do, just let them!) It rained on us a little but that wasn't a problem either, nice to be on a horse instead of the ground. I would definitely recommend that to other travellers!
Tell us about the Wildlife
Diego was our guide for the King Penguins and also the boat trip to see the Magellanic penguins. The boat trip was fun and we stopped by an island that had 2000 seals (sea lions?) and even an elephant seal. The penguins were fun to walk by. Most had migrated but there were still some left.

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Honestly I felt a little nervous before leaving. The area is so far away and I was worried that the weather might be rough etc. Once we arrived in Buenos Aires all of that worry disappeared. Then I got very excited for the journey ahead. I feel like the video that Swoop has was really good preparation for our trip. I took notes and the tips were really helpful. I feel like we had plenty of layers and the tips for tipping were nice because I never know what to do in those situations.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Our team was wonderful! Chloe, Marcel and the other team members when they weren't available. We had one miscommunication about bed preferences (twin vs 2 beds) but it was immediately sorted out! Very impressive. I'm glad Chloe talked us into staying at Los Torres. Being in the park was so nice and we did so many activities. The food wasn't the best but the bar is amazing. Neither of us drink much but we had fun trying some of their crazy cocktails!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Definitely go to Patagonia, it is a wild, wonderful place. If you don't know how to start planning a trip and don't want to go with a big group let Swoop help. They were so good in fixing an itinerary for us.
When are you thinking of taking your next trip?
