What was your most memorable moment?
Absolutely loved all the hikes, but most especially the Torres del Paine. Loved the forests, terrain and the challenge at the end to see the towers. Absolutely stunning. We had an amazing guide and good crew in our group.

Something Else?
Thank you for organizing such a memorable portion of our trip—we truly appreciated the experience overall. Weskar Lodge was a comfortable and beautiful place to stay, and we’re grateful for that. I did want to share a bit of feedback in the spirit of helping future travelers. While the accommodations were lovely, we found the staff interactions to be less warm and accommodating than we had hoped. After a very early travel day (starting around 2:30 am), we asked about the possibility of an earlier check-in—even by an hour—but felt that there wasn’t much flexibility or effort to help, which was a bit difficult given how fatigued we were. Additionally, we had confirmed ahead of time with the front desk that we would be able to get a takeaway meal and coffee before starting the W Trek. On the morning of our departure, the staff on duty didn’t seem aware of this arrangement. They were eventually able to locate the meal packages, which we appreciated, but coffee initially seemed unavailable until we asked another staff member who was able to assist. We want to emphasize that we did enjoy our stay, and we recognize that logistics can be complex. That said, for travelers preparing for physically demanding days like the W Trek, small touches—like a bit of flexibility with rest time and reliable access to food and coffee—make a meaningful difference in the overall experience. Thank you again for the opportunity and for taking this feedback into consideration.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
We would certainly recommend Swoop Patagonia, Chile Nativo, and Serac Adventure Films. We especially appreciate your commitment to partnering with local companies and residents—this added a great deal of authenticity to our experience and truly showcased the beauty of Patagonia.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
We believe that the opportunity to travel truly opens both the mind and the heart. Having never been to South America, we were blown away by the food, the culture, and the genuine hospitality of the people. Especially in the national parks and smaller towns, we noticed a deep sense of pride and care—for the environment and for one another—which made the experience even more meaningful. We left feeling inspired and hopeful, and we would love to return one day with our children to share it with them.
