Tell us about Torres del Paine
The hike to the Base of the Towers was hard but wonderful. The weather was wonderful, it was like a beach day. This was the second time we tried to go on the boat tour to the Glacier, and again it was cancelled. Echo Camp refused to book another day even with a private guide.

The day we were scheduled to take a boat to the glacier, the boat was cancelled due to high wind. Echo Camp refused to book another trip even with a private guide on another day.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
We had visited Patagonia two years before and just wanted to fill in so experiences.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Peter worked very hard to put the itinerary together for us in a very short time. He did a great job fitting all the pieces together. It was just hard to communicate with Peter, as he was in the UK and we were in the mountain states of the US. It would have been easier to work with him if he had been located in the US or even Chile or Argentina. Swoop dropped the ball after we booked the trip and were transferred to customer service in Chile(?) We did not hear from them for days and they did not respond to our emails. The only problem we had with the booking was being left at the end of a pier in terrible condition with all our luggage in Ushuaia. A private transport should have been recommended.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We were very prepared as we had been there before and are very experienced hikers.
