Villa O'Higgins is a Chilean town at the Southern end of the Carretera Austral. It's actually only about 60 miles North of El Chalten. The town, the lake that it sits on, and the National Park that stretches all the way down to Torres del Paine is named after the Chilean Independence leader Bernardo o Higgins.
