Mylodon Cave

The Mylodon Cave is located in Chilean Patagonia, 24km (15 miles) northwest of Puerto Natales and 270km (168 miles) north of Punta Arenas.

The cave is located on the side of Cerro Benitez and comprises several caves and a rock formations called Silla del Diablo (Devil's Chair). The cave is notable for the discovery in 1895 of the remains of a giant ground sloth called Mylodon darwinii.
