Patagonia is such an incredibly wild and free place. For me the landscapes and animal life was the best part. All of our guides and tours were amazing too.

Ecocamp was an altogether enjoyable and unique experience. Staff and guides were great and it was terrific to hike and dine with a group of new friends.

Two things: First, the complete and total support and connection offered by SWOOP, who made traveling without a good grasp of Spanish so easy!!!! And all the travel activities were smooth and easy. But even more importantly, our Guide, Marcella Ibieta. She was clearly the best guide I could have imagined, and her knowledge, ability to share iinformation, sense of humour and her obvious joy in helping us learn was simply wonderful.

Having Chucao Tapaculo and Black-throated Huet-Huets cross our paths on trails as they fed; spotting a pygmy owl feeding on songbird prey; and 7 Andean condors circling us at a glacial lake - all highlights of my birding opportunities.

There were a lot of great experiences and amazing sunrises, sunsets, and mountain vistas. I would say the pinnacle of the adventure was climbing to the towers in Torres del Paine. It is a long trek but seeing the Torres with the lake behind was stunning. I would have loved to have hiked up halfway and spent the night in Chileno Refugio, left early and saw the sunrise at the Torres. Maybe another time if we can do it again.

There were so many! Hiking in and around El Chalten, El Calafate. Our cruise and Cape Horn were magnificent. Torres de Paine was stunning and our accommodation there was absolutely perfect. The guiding throughout was top notch. Loved the fishing with John Joy and Tres Rios.

The Perito Moreno glacier tour. It's one of the most unique sites I've seen in my life. Also, while I was initially disappointed that I could not do the on-ice glacier walk, I realize now that is not really necessary to appreciate the site.
