I waited for years to go to Patagonia - a trip of a lifetime that I would highly recommend. But I would not recommend using Swoop who described our expensive accommodations at Serrano camp as deluxe. Rather it was quite basic. Not a sanctuary of “quiet for an ideal night’s sleep” as we were put in tents on the property smaller than the rest and right beside the deafening sound of the generator that ran all day and night. What was supposed to be a special celebration turned in to a nightmare. On a positive note, the people who worked for Chile Nativo at Serrano camp were very helpful and found accommodation for a couple of us nearby. The staff were very helpful and the food was wonderful and plentiful. The guide and driver that were dedicated to the group were amazing and very passionate about all the wonders that Patagonia has to offer.

I loved the local guide. Andre’s track did everything but swoop Got paid a lot for doing nothing more than signing us up with them. There was no more interaction with the salesman- ever- once we paid. All correspondence was a 48 hour delays when they’ve made that kind of money you’d think they could reschedule the $600!!! Hikes with our guide Christina who was one of the best guides I have ever had on a travel adventure. Her knowledge of the history and geography of Torres del Paine and Chile coupled with wildlife and birds was phenomenal and she worked closely with us to make sure the hikes were meeting our needs and adapted them as required. Louis was our driver and he was a welcome addition to our party. The food at Serano Camp was wonderful and the box lunches were great. Sydney our original agent from Swoop had promised us all the wine we could drink but phrased the email in a way that implied it was included the overall cost. It was not. The accommodations were described as 3 Deluxe Tents - they were not 1 was and the other 2 were not only quite a bit smaller but located next to a generator away from the deluxe tents. The white bathroom towels were stained and the promised supplies of shampoo were not provided. The camp tents have seen better days and price of adventure should reflect this.

I was disappointed in the way you misrepresented yourselves. I never met anyone from Swoop in Argentina and Chile. I thought your company would be more involved in running the tour so that we would have someone to take care of issues that came up. Respectfully,

I was told that I will be contacted by Austalis regarding compensation for one night where my cabin was not inhabitable. During my stay, the roof significantly leaked in my cabin. All night I heard noise and was not able to sleep, not discovering its source until morning. The rug and floor were soaked. I found a staff member and had to totally pack and move into another room, spending the morning packing, moving and unpacking.....exhausted and missing breakfast. I paid $9,184 for two people for the four night cruise, $2,296 a day. The host on board (I think Paula is her name) assured me that I will be contacted by Australis staff. This has not yet happened.
