The highlight was undoubtedly our stay overnight at Los Condores and the Puntiagudo trek. Rudi and his wife Rosa were great hosts and we thought their farm was a very special/unique place to stay. The trek was made even more memorable because of our guide Jose. We did not see much wildlife but loved the landscapes/wilderness of temperate rainforest interspersed with walkers/hiking trails. So many highlights on that trip from the boat ride, Arriving at Los Condores and then at Laguna Los Quettros. We both found that this trip eclipsed the majesty of the Torres Del Paine. All the locals we met were delightful. Particularly enjoyed our lunhch at Sandras at Lago Rupanco. Birds of Chile need a special mention for providing excellent guides throughout.

We had a superb trip. Both the landscapes and the wildlife were highlight - especially hiking and biking away from the more popular trails. People were invariably welcoming and helpful. We were surprised by the numbers of tourists on the more popular trails i.e. the W walk and also those around El Chalten (although a little less so around the latter). The walk around Los Huemules was a nice contrast. Magical moments were many, but usually linked to watching sunrises and sunsets.

Amazing trip, wonderful guide, breathtaking views

Guides were fantastic, scenery was breathtaking, food was great and whole trip was very well organized.

The highlight was definitely going over the John Gardner Pass. It was a tough but really rewarding day. One of the most magical moments was when we made it through the pass and had an absolutely gorgeous view of the Grey Glacier in front of us. I also really enjoyed going through the windy passes and fighting our way through the infamous Patagonian wind! It was a pleasure to meet other people on the trail and to discuss what we had seen already and comparing experiences.

The trip was just grand,

What awed me the most has been the stunning, sheer beauty of the mountains, besides the wonderful landscapes and the infinite open range horizons. Also, the wildlife is amazing, we got to spot a puma, too (and condors, caracals, llama, guanacos, red and grey foxes...). I’ll teach my grandchdren the respect for such a special, unique place like Patagonia.

My highlight was going over the John garner pass. I knew there was going to be a huge glacier but there is nothing to prepare you for that view over the top.

A reminder that this land, these people, and this experience will stay with me forever. Next time, I’m coming back with my husband and adventurous couples who want to elope in one of the most awe-inspiring places on earth. I wanted to experience two things. Silly, but the first was drinking from a stream in Patagonia. I did! Second, being able to get to Cape Horn. (It was always “weather permitting”). Also did that! I loved the hikes and the scenery was incredible.
