I absolutely loved my stay at the Explora at the Patagonia National Park!! This was my first time at their hotel and it was perfect! The accommodation and hotel grounds were amazing. All the personnel and guides were wonderful. And the food was fantastic- I have never eaten so well- and as a foodie, I felt I was in heaven?. The excursions were very well organized and beautiful. This lovely park is much less traveled than other Patagonia destinations and I enjoyed the solitude on the trails. My most memorable moment was when I spotted a puma from a hot tub! The puma was lying in the grass waiting to get darker so it could go feast on the guanaco that it killed a couple of days ago nearby. What an amazing trip!

Its hard to pick out one thing, but I would have to say watching the sun rise over the towers was amazing a long crazy hike but there was a full moon made it even better.

There were many memorable moments but probably the most memorable was the first day's hike to Laguna de los Tres - just geeting there gave us a great sense of accomplishment, the views were marvelous, and our guide was excellent.

What awed me the most has been the stunning, sheer beauty of the mountains, besides the wonderful landscapes and the infinite open range horizons. Also, the wildlife is amazing, we got to spot a puma, too (and condors, caracals, llama, guanacos, red and grey foxes...). I’ll teach my grandchdren the respect for such a special, unique place like Patagonia.

Hikes with our guide Christina who was one of the best guides I have ever had on a travel adventure. Her knowledge of the history and geography of Torres del Paine and Chile coupled with wildlife and birds was phenomenal and she worked closely with us to make sure the hikes were meeting our needs and adapted them as required. Louis was our driver and he was a welcome addition to our party. The food at Serano Camp was wonderful and the box lunches were great. Sydney our original agent from Swoop had promised us all the wine we could drink but phrased the email in a way that implied it was included the overall cost. It was not. The accommodations were described as 3 Deluxe Tents - they were not 1 was and the other 2 were not only quite a bit smaller but located next to a generator away from the deluxe tents. The white bathroom towels were stained and the promised supplies of shampoo were not provided. The camp tents have seen better days and price of adventure should reflect this.

Standing on the tip of Cape Horn on a beautiful cold sunny morning, with a nearly calm sea, and being the southern most people on any continent on the planet (except for Antarctica !) And another one...walking up close under Mount Fitzroy, again in stunningly clear and beautiful weather And another one...the absolute drama of Perito Moreno Glacier And lots more !

The adventure would seat between great holiday and life changing, i feel like there needs to be something in between. But it would be closer to life changing, more than a 'holiday'. the scenery was stunning, we were lucky with the weather. I just loved how untouched/peaceful it was. so 'clean' no noise. I do wonder how it was years ago, if less touristy... i just can't imagine it getting so much busier/touristy. or things would need to be put in place to avoid it.

My group all agreed that we had 2 "best days" on this trip 1. The hike from Central Camping to Cuernos Refugio. We didn't expect anything from this day, but the hike was absolutely stunning! The green-blue hue of the lake, the condors overhead, and the easy trail all made for a great day outdoors. The icing on the cake was the Christmas Eve festivities at the refugio. The staff went above an beyond to create a warm, celebratory atmosphere and a holiday to remember. 2. Our overnight kayaking trip definitely under promised and over delivered. We had excellent weather and watched the clouds lift and reveal the volcano views and counted dolphins, sealions, and birds on our 15km paddle. We expected to camp on a farm, but we stayed in a private refugio overlooking the fjord. After sensing that we weren't up for the 2 hour hike our guide, Felipe, offered a 15 minute hike to a river to drink a cold beer which was just the thing - and then he set up a delicious charcuterie board for us. The night ended with a homecooked meal, cards, and a hot shower.

The sheer beauty, , enchantment and strength of the natural world of Patagonia was unexpected and spectacular. From the different colored lakes to the calving of the glaciers, all was extraordinary but none was more memorable than the other.

The quality of the guides for our adventure hikes were outstanding on Cruise and Pat Camp. The Patagonia region is certainly something to behold.
