Life before Swoop
Growing up in Birmingham UK with little access to the outdoors, as soon as I had the chance, I took off adventuring. It’s been a priority of mine since then, so much so that I studied Adventure Tourism Management at University so that I could do an expedition rather than write a dissertation!
I then spent the best part of 6.5 years working on a small island off the California coast snorkelling, kayaking, hiking, and teaching sustainable living to whoever would listen. To make the most of my winters, I took off to work in ski resorts in France and Austria as skiing is a huge passion of mine.
After many years working and living abroad, I settled back into British life and became a Sales & Customer Service manager for a large group travel company, specialising in ski tours in the winter and English as a Foreign Language (EFL) courses in the summer.
I joined Swoop in 2019 after looking for a travel company that encompassed my love for wild places with my passion for sustainability. I firmly believe people’s love for the outdoors will ensure our wild places are protected for future generations.
Day to day at Swoop
I work as Patagonia Sales Manager in the UK office, doing all I can to support the team to ensure we’re matching our customers with the best possible experiences, and showcasing all Patagonia has to offer.
The next adventure
I never know where my next adventure will take me but I can always guarantee it will involve camping, hiking, water (frozen or not), wildlife, and delicious food.
